We’ve had a busy 2 weeks filming ridiculous and horrific 3D movie stunts. Right in the middle of filming we pulled off Nitro Circus Live in front of a sold out MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The Nitro crew and friends pushed action sports to a whole new level…the show was nuts! I’m honored to be part of something so progressive and truly amazing. Here are some of the highlights if you missed out.
A couple days before the Live show Travis Pastrana and myself left the movie set early to BASE jump the MGM Signature Tower for Las Vegas media. It’s always a pleasure when we can jump off stuff legally and not have to sneak around in the night. Check out a video of our jumps.
We’ve been going hard without much of a break and we’re about half way through the Nitro Circus 3D filming schedule. Great footage is starting to stack up. Some of the biggest stunts have been saved for last so this coming month should be exciting. I can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve been up too!
Thanks for checking in…

Back on set of Nitro Circus 3D

I even have my own movie trailer room…pretty funny. They’re actually sort of creepy and none of us hang out in them.
Nitro Circus 3D is firing on all cylinders! We’ve survived the first 2 film shoots in Utah and Panama. Our first stop was Utah for some winter activities. Then onto Panama for stunts we can’t get away with in the states. Both locations worked out great and we’ve done some amazing things already! I can’t give out too much information…but I can say it’s been ridiculous! We’re a little banged up but no major injuries and looking forward to getting back at it next week.
Our Live show at the MGM Grand in Vegas on June 4th is almost here! We will be filming the show in 3D for the movie. It’s going to be one crazy night with the usual suspects along with special guests Ryan Sheckler, Bob Burnquist, and Jake Brown. Make sure to get your tickets…It’ll be a night you won’t forget!

We just kicked off the Nitro Circus Live World Tour in New Zealand and Australia. We made 13 stops and sold out every stadium with an average of 20,000+ fans per show. Each night the bar was raised and countless world firsts went down on BMX, dirt bikes, big wheels and numerous contraptions. The North American Tour will start in October and go until mid December. Show locations and dates will be released soon. There will be a one off live show at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on June 4th. The tickets just went on sale so scoop some up quickly before they sell out! http://www.ticketmaster.com
Also keep a close eye out for the European schedule. We’ll be touring the beautiful old country for 6 weeks in January and February 2011.
But even BIGGER news!!! We finally start filming the Nitro Circus 3D feature film at the beginning of May. We’ve put a ton of effort into this project and saved our best ideas for this movie. The goal is to have the film wrapped up this summer and released early next year. Get ready!

Here’s a quick recap of some travel and events from my last Teton Gravity Research trip to Montenegro and Macedonia. It was an eye opening experience traveling through Croatia, Serbia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Albania. I was blown away at the size of the mountains in this part of the world. Some true gems were out there.
As always the European ski trips can be tough. We’re there for 2 weeks and travel every few days in search of snow, terrain and good weather. It’s difficult to get these three important details to line up. All in all we had a great trip and brought home some amazing experiences. Thanks to my Teton Gravity Research family for the trip! Make sure to check out “One for the Road” this fall to see all the footage.
Some behind the scene stuff from New Zealand Nitro Circus Live
We just finished an amazing 3-week New Zealand Nitro Circus Live tour. We sold out stadiums in Auckland, Wellington, Hamilton, Christchurch and Dunedin. I was blown away by all the Nitro support. The shows were unbelievable with so many world firsts and constant progression. I’m lucky to be a part of this family. Check out the press release just out on the North American tour coming later this year.
